Description: TEDxGoodenoughCollege - Grzegorz Lewicki - Collapse of Complex Society: Learning From History Greg is a philosopher, political scientist and prize-winning publicist. An editor of Krakow based Pressje Quarterly and the founding member of the Institute for Research on Civilizations. He authored and edited expert reports for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland and analyses on cultural mediation and European demography in the projects financed by the European Commission. Currently a PhD candidate at Jagiellonian University (Philosophy) and a graduate student at London School of Economics (Philosophy of Science) working on organizational complexity. TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. At TEDx events, a screening of TEDTalks videos -- or a combination of live presenters and TEDTalks videos -- sparks deep conversation and connections. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.
