Description: Learn how Shakespeares fanciful comedy comes to life onstage in the form of dance by Nashville Ballet at an April 15, 2010, InsideOut of the Lunch Box. Paul Vasterling, Nashville Ballets artistic director and choreographer of A Midsummer Nights Dream, reveals the inspiration behind the piece with an exceptional panel including Denice Hicks of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Michael Kurek of Vanderbilts Blair School of Music, and Belmont University English professor James Wells. Actors from Nashville Shakespeare Festival perform short scenes followed by Pauls interpretation performed by members of the Nashville Ballet. Vanderbilt University joins Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) Education for the InsideOut of the Lunch Box series which is a lunchtime series that includes enlightening panel discussions, performance excerpts, and a free lunch.
