But how is this infromation communicated? Through transcription, which is the process where DNA information is coded into RNA, and translation which is the process of converting the mRNA molecule by ribosome into polypeptide strand. This process happens in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, but in Eukaryotic cells translation takes place outside of the nucleus.
