Description: Martin Seligman talks about psychology -- as a field of study & as it works one-on-one with each patient & each practitioner. As it moves beyond a focus on disease, what can modern psychology help us to become? http://www.ted.com
When I read Seligman´s book on "True Happiness" (spanish version) I totally agreed with the urgency for a Positive Psychology, especially if we in Industrial/Organizational Psychology work with the "positive" and constructive behavior, and there is a pletora of "light" literature related to this field.
But, why Seligman didn´t consider the extense work of A. Bandura on Self-Efficacy and collective efficacy, as an advanced field of research toward a positive non-disease oriented psychology?
