Description: Exposing the Myth of Smoked Medical Marijuana / PSA VideoExposing the Myth of Smoked Medical Marijuana. Q. Does marijuana have any medical value? Any determination of a drug's valid medical use must be based on the best available science undertaken by medical professionals. The Institute of Medicine conducted a comprehensive study in 1999 to assess the potential health benefits of marijuana and its constituent cannabinoids. The study concluded that smoking marijuana is not recommended for ...
I' not a scientist or a doctor. I'm just a nobody expressing his opinion:
The only thing being exposed here is shameful propaganda.
While I agree that cannabis can be harmful specialy when smoked I refuse to admit it is addictive. Not as much as tobaco, and certainly not as much as cocaine or heroine, for example.
And I know from my own experience, and of other people, that I can stop smoking whenecer I want with NO WITHDRAWAL EFFECTS.
Cannabis has negative effects like all drugs do, but the "why" of why Cannabis is regarded as an "ultimate evil" drug is baffling to me. Specially when I see clearly that alcohol doesn't receive the same amount of hostile atention, yet IT IS MORE HARMFUL THAN "MARIJUANA". And this too is a scientific fact.
But indeed one does not need science at all to see that cannabis prohibition is nothing but hypocrisy based on misconception, prejudice and intolerance.
Alcohol impairs judgement much more than cannabis does.
Cannabis being cause for violence and agression is a LIE, pure and simple.
Alcohol on the other hand is a tested and true drug for causing violent behaviour, car accidents, cancer, cirrhosis and DEATH.
How many people have died or gone crazy for smoking a single joint can someone tell me??
Cannabis is often regarded by psychiatrists as a "cause" for mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and generic psychosis.
I don't believe this to be correct. And even if it is, it does not mean that cannabis should be forbidden to EVERYONE.
Some people have predisposition for mental illness, others don't. I know people who have smoked for decades and they do not suffer from any mental illness or any sort of intellectual "impairment".
Cannabis being a gateway to cocaine and other heavy drugs is even bigger BS. It's just too stupid and ignorant, as far as statistic goes to mention this study or to make such a statement, that it doesn't even deserve commentary.
It's something like saying that people who drink a beer one day are going to turn out alcoholics, thiefs, prostitutes and murderers.
Of course people who buy cannabis from the streets will at some point try other illegal drugs.
Being illegal to buy or sell people are exposed to that reality. It is inevitable, specially if these same people have the curiosity to do it and are not fully aware of the risks in order to resist the temptation.
If everything comes from the same black market what is there to be surprised about.
How can people defend themselves against such exposure? If people grew their own cannabis or bought it at legitimate places without having to resort and deal with scum and "crackheads", like most people normally end up doing, things could be a little different.
But legislators and law enforcement agencies prefer to treat everyone in the same way like it's all the same thing when it's not.
The fault that people fall into heavy drugs is of the same prohibitors that supposedly are guarding people against them. If there is someone to blame aside from the dealers and respective cartels it's the voices of the prohibition whose only acomplishment is guaranteeing that the criminal element remain in business unchalleged.
The "War on Drugs" is FAKE, It's just a smoke screen to blind people from the truth that probably the governments are in it too.
If the efforts to erradicate drugs completely are REAL, how come after so many years of "WAR" the streets of almost every city in the world are flooded with drugs and crime?
How come people don't see the truth?!
And while it's true some people that smoke cannabis are lazy apathetic slobs, so are many non smokers.
It's all a matter of choice of way of life. There are working responsible people too who like to smoke cannabis.
Now why should a person, who is not by any other means a criminal, be regarded as one just because that person smokes cannabis.
Cannabis should be legal regardless of it's value as a medicine anyway. It's a matter of personal freedom.
Freedom is the ultimate value in itself, not the subjective, dogmatic view of people who think they can tell others what to do, what to think and what to be in life.
No one has the right to interfere wiht the choices of others let alone pass judgment.
The governmental agencies try and push their own beliefs and propanganda to the citizens, and we just buy it all like their speech is the word of God, without question or hesitation.
If there is someone with an agenda it's politcians and healthcare officials, to whom the primary concerns are not the wellfare of citizens but their own interests, which are money, above all else, and the subjugation of the masses to their whims.
If you smoke a joint per day your a hopelessly addicted junkie, but if you take pills you're taking "medicine"?
Anti depressants and sleeping pills and all that crap. What should we call those poor bastards who live taking these "medicines" as their lives really depended on them.
Aren't there more "natural" ways of curing depression, anxiety and insomnia. A Doctor can give you a pill, but he can't give you happiness, purpose, or love for yourself and will to live.
Why give people pills when what they really need is love and understanding. Compassion.
This is where psychiatrists fail miserably. They criticize people who take illegal drugs but think they can solve all the problems of the human soul with a pill and a cold shoulder.
A little bit naive, and even arrogant on their part, in my humble opinion. I wonder if their real aim is to help anyone.
I'm perfectly aware that cannabis doesn't solve mine or anyone's problems but some people think that pills do because their doctor gives it to them. Of course it is a porblem solver ain't it doc? It's LEGAL isn't it.
How convenient... for the laboratories who manufacture them and for the "doctors" who prescribe them, at least.
FREEDOM is a word so often pronounced by those who deny it to others. We are always talking about how great is democracy and freedom, yet given a chance our freedom is taken away just as readly as the words are spoken.
I DEMAND for myself and everyone who enjoys cannabis the same FREEDOM alcohol comsumers enjoy.
If cannabis is so bad why don't the governments bannish alcohol which is just as bad, not to say worse than cannabis, when people abuse it.
Food for thought.
