University of Illinois/Urbana, ILThe Illini Union, the campus community center of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is seeking a talented professional to serve as Program Advisor for Sustainability.
Position Functions and Major Responsibilities: Advising campus Student Sustainability Committee, this position will serve as the administrator to assist the Student Sustainability Committee in managing proposal submission, review process, and funds awarding process. The Program Advisor will work with a diverse group of student leaders and oversee the execution of projects funded thru the Committee. In addition to the maintenance of all funding records and project documents, the individual will prepare financial and other reports for the Student Sustainability Committee.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with coursework related to environmental studies. Master's degree preferred. Qualified candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge of environmental issues and commitment towards issues regarding sustainability. Ability in planning, tracking and completing projects is required. Candidates must have experience in advising students as well as the ability to work with a diverse student population. Experience in managing grants, funds, or budget planning is essential. Previous experience working with student fees, university payment processes and operating a budget is preferred.
Appointment Status: This is a 12-month, full-time Academic Professional position.
