Is it time for Fall Break yet? That is one of the many thoughts running through students’ minds during the first full week of classes, as the countdown to NC State’s next break begins. The harsh reality that summertime has ended and that we need to rev up our “study engines” sets in during the week. The week seems to last a century sometimes because it is hard to switch from the summer mindset to the school mindset. Waking up early every day for classes, completing the first homework assignments and adjusting to a new routine takes a toll on students, who are used to sleeping in and doing things as they please in their summer leisure time.
The first full week of classes can be overwhelming and refreshing at the same time. At first, it is hard trying to perfect your routine by juggling class, work, and extracurricular schedules and finding time in between to complete homework assignments. However, the first full week of classes allow students to start the semester with a clean slate. I love being able to set new goals for the semester and map out the best way for me to achieve the most academic success.I like the first full week ...
