KTA@Bath is holding a showcasing event on 12 October (12pm to 2pm) at the Wessex Restaurant to celebrate and highlight the success of the account over the first year and to introduce Knowledge Transfer Champions to the University.
The KTA is a £3.4m EPSRC award, initially for three years, encouraging collaboration to enable the adoption of research outputs by external organisations.
It aims to build on and broaden Bath’s culture of collaboration with end users.
The event will be a chance to:
- Meet the Knowledge Transfer Champions being awarded by the Vice Chancellor and find out how to access funding through them for activities which support collaborations with external organisations, such as secondments, events, visits, attendance at trade shows, workshops, etc.
- Network with KTA award holders to find out about their projects and pathways to impact and hear about how they use KTA funding to translate their research ideas into workable partnerships beyond the university sector. They will be on hand to describe the problems they faced along the way and how to overcome them, thereby improving the contribution to society and the economy of their research-derived knowledge.
- Discover more about the KTA and how to access KTA funding, meet the project team and find out if you’re eligible for funding and the application process
- Celebrate the KTA@Bath in its first year.
The event is open to all academic staff members. A buffet lunch will be provided.
