1) Instructional Services Librarian, 2) Reference Services Librarian: Jack Tarver Library, Mercer University, seeks enthusiastic, energetic, talented entry-level librarians.
The Jack Tarver Library of Mercer University is seeking two energetic, flexible, and innovative librarians to join our team as entry level coordinators-one for reference services and one for instructional services. We seek leadership in improving our reference and instructional services-linking personal assistance with a virtual presence. These positions are key participants in a team-based approach with colleagues who are committed to the successful blending of high quality personal services, access to resources, and information technology in support of an evolving academic curriculum. Current projects include collaborating with Circulation colleagues in providing front line and triage assistance; collaborating with faculty colleagues and students in Mercer's growing emphasis on student research focusing on discovery, inquiry, and creativity; participating in a revised general education program within The College of Liberal Arts; and assessing next steps for our reference and instructional services.
