James M. Norton, PhD, Professor of Physiology and the chair of the Department of Physiology, has been named the 2010 Didactic Instructor of the Year by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
Lander University alumna Theresa Gunter Lawson, an instructor in Lander’s William Preston Turner Department of Nursing, is one of nine doctoral candidates selected to share in a $1.5-million fellowship grant from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation to the South Carolina Nurses Foundation.
A second member of Lander University's nursing faculty has been selected to receive a yearly stipend to help pay the cost of obtaining a doctorate in nursing.
The instructor will be Jenny Malone of Clinton, a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor trainer.

ST. LOUIS — Fontbonne University honored two adjunct faculty members this month with Outstanding Faculty awards. Michael Seibold and Julie Allman were both honored at the 2009 OPTIONS Faculty Appreciation Reception for the College of Global Business and Professional Studies Friday, Oct. 9.
ST. LOUIS -- Michael Sullivan, Fontbonne University's technical director of theatre and associate professor of performing arts, received a 2010 Kevin Kline Award nomination for outstanding lighting design. His nomination is the result of his work on Mustard Seed Theatre's production of "An Almost Holy Picture."
