Christine Jensen earned a Juno Award Saturday for her her album Treelines, recorded with the Christine Jensen Jazz Orchestra. The Nanaimo-raised musician earned a Juno Award for Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year for Treelines, recorded by her 18-member band The Christine Jensen Jazz Orchestra.
Dutch composer Louis Andriessen, one of Europe’s most eminent and influential composers, will talk about his multimedia opera “La Commedia” Thursday, March 31, at 3 p.m. in the Margaret Comstock Concert Hall at the University of Louisville School of Music.
