      I. Chromosomal Diagnostics (Human) and Research

      Has experience in the following:

      1. Conventional and advanced cytogenetic techniques,
      2. Tissue culture techniques related to establishment of primary cultures from mouse, rat skin tissues, and crocodile embryonic tissues and establishment and maintenance of the cell lineage
      3. Maintenance of other cell lines
      4. Has exposure into basic Molecular Biology techniques like isolation of DNA from blood tissue and cell line, PCR etc.,



    • Projects: 


      Present working projects

      1. Currently working on BAC Mapping to narrow down and define chromosomal break points of novel chromosomal rearrangements
      2. Also initiated to dissect out human chromosomes by Laser Micro Dissection (LMD PALM Zeiss), amplify, label and cross hybridize onto the metaphase chromosmes and to make painting probes
