      I teach 8th grade Physical Science. We address science as "the engagement of our minds with nature in an attempt to understand" (Derry, Gregory.) Throughout the year we divide the study of physical science (the study of matter and energy) into Chemistry, the study of the interaction of matter, and Physics, the study of energy's effect on matter.
