Group description
FC Inter is a football club from Seattle, Washington. The initial acronym stands for Fudbalski club (meaning "Football club"), and the name Inter stands for short for International. The team was founded by a group of friends that immigrated from Bosnia to USA in the mid 90s. They all came to one community based South of City of Seattle that is called Tukwila. They started to play soccer among each other until they heard about a Soccer League that is based in Washington. The name of the league is GSSL Greater Seattle Soccer League. When they joined the league the team made an immediate impact and became a champion. With that championship the team got their first sponsor. The sponsor was a local store that is based in the City of Burien, WA, the name of the store is Balkan Market. The sponsor paid for their full season and bought the first original kits for the team. Sponsor had displayed the logo of the store in front of the jersey. The next year the team finished 2nd in the table. In the year of 2005 the team changed the league's name. The name of this league is WSSA Washington State Soccer Association. In this league the table is played on a playoff format. In the following year the team finished 2nd and advanced to the playoffs, where the team was knocked out of the playoffs in the first round. In 2008 the team got their second sponsor, a company that is located north of Seattle. The sponsor's name is 1st Impressions Embroidery (www.1stimpressionsembroidery.com). In that same year the team finished 4th, and advanced to the playoffs and lost to a semi-final game of a result of 4-2. The team is still playing in the same league since 2005 year. They have made the playoffs each year since joining the league. Blue and White are traditionally the color of Bosnia and Herzegovina. When the players got together they wanted to stay close to their country of birth so they chose the original colors blue and white. The first kits that they got were just white shirts and blue shorts. Later on when they got their sponsor, the sponsor bought 20 original joma jerseys and 20 joma shorts and blue soccer socks.
