Beat Heart, Beat is the third full-length album recorded by the Southampton-based rock band Howards Alias.
"Let the Beat Go On" is a 1994 song recorded by the Sweden-based musician and producer Dr Alban. It was the third single from his third studio album Look Who's Talking.
Beat Down EP is an EP from French electronic music producer Para One. The style is downtempo and electro.
New Beat is a music term that was used twice during the 80s. It also refers to an underground 80s Belgian music style.
Abstract: Abstract This paper presents a novel method that employs a wavelet transform and filter bank to detect ventricular late potentials (VLPs) from beat to beat in order to keep its variance. Conventionally, three time-domain features, which are highly related to the QRS complex endpoint, are generally accepted as criteria for classifying VLPs. Signal averaging is a general and effective de-noising method in electroencephalogram late potentials detection, but it may also eliminate the beat-to-beat variance. Other types of filter applied to the time sequence may destroy the late potentials as well ...
Abstract: Abstract Presents a new method for long-term, noninvasive ambulatory monitoring of blood pressure waveforms without using a cuff. Measurements taken from plethysmographic sensors are integrated and processed by a Kalman filter. The blood pressure waveforms can be estimated based on these measurements despite the lack of observability
Abstract: Abstract Increased QRS and ST-T micro-variability and ventricular late potentials are associated with an increased risk for malignant arrhythmias. However, the diagnostic power of the singular parameters is limited. In this study, we investigated the diagnostic ability of a linear combination of five (both variant and static) high-resolution ECG parameters. Continuous and signal-averaged ECGs were recorded from 51 healthy volunteers without any structural heart disease and with no cardiac risk factors and from 44 patients with coronary heart disease and ventricular arrhythmias. Beat-to-beat m...
Abstract: Abstract Non-invasive measurement of beat-to-beat arterial blood pressure (BP) is an interesting but currently unsolved topic in long-term physiological monitoring by wearable devices and body sensor networks. Although it is suggested that pulse transit time (PTT) is related to and can be used to estimate BP, few studies showed how their relationship changes over time. This study reported the beat-to-beat correlation between PTT and invasive BP of short segments for 4 subjects during an 8-hour period. The results of the study found that the median correlation of beat-to-beat PTT and invasive ...

Abstract: Abstract A system which employs an adaptive filtering technique to analyze the HPS signal on a beat-to-beat basis has been developed. This system requires the signal to be recorded on to tape first and subsequently analyzed using the LMS adaptive algorithm. It has been found that by using this technique, valuable information about microvolt signals of clinical interest can be obtained on a beat-to-beat basis. The authors describe development of this approach and present some clinical results to demonstrate the operation of the currently available system

Abstract: Abstract The aim was to study beat-to-beat QRS variability in resting 12-lead ECG in patients with ischemia and myocardial infarction. The variability analysis was based on a refined technique for time alignment of the beats and included means for compensating the influence of respiration. A group with normal myocardial scintigraphy (called NO) was compared to a group with signs of both myocardial infarction and exercise-induced ischemia (called ISCINF). The mean QRS variability was smaller in lead I in ISCINF than in NO but there was no significant difference in QRS variability in the other ...
Abstract: Abstract Numerous studies of short-term beat-to-beat variability in cardiovascular signals have not resolved the debate about the completeness of linear analysis techniques. This paper further evaluates the role of nonlinearities in short-term beat-to-beat variability. We compared linear autoregressive moving average (ARMA) and nonlinear neural network (NN) models for predicting instantaneous heart rate (HR) and mean arterial blood pressure (BP) from past HR and BP. To evaluate these models, we used HR and BP time series from the MIMIC database. Experimental results indicate that NN-based non...
