Group description
The carotid siphon is the tortuous segment of the internal carotid artery that extends from the carotid canal to the point at which the internal carotid artery bifurcates into the anterior cerebral artery and the middle cerebral artery. It is the curve of the ICA near the take-off of the ophthalmic artery.
