Years ago, when I was in college, I played a game of tennis with a friend from home whose name also happened to be Jeff. Jeff had grown up taking tennis lessons and hit the ball more or less like you're supposed to. I was largely self-taught and played a crude, cobbled together game full of lobs, dinks and junk balls. Struggling to return my shots, with their off speeds and unfamiliar spins ...

I got a question the other day from some guy who wanted to know about a place called Monkey's Eyebrow, AZ. There also seems to be such a place in Kentucky.  I think that, for at least the supposed Arizona site, this is some sort of misconception or maybe a trick question. However, you people know me: Mr. Open-Minded, open-minded, at least, except for things I think are really dumb. Really dumb ...

I get it. Jim Irsay is in a tough spot. He can’t pay Peyton Manning what he’s scheduled to make, but letting an icon go is hard and comes with serious ramifications from a team’s fan base. The Colts owner has to take Andrew Luck with the No. 1 pick while looking to the future, but knows a healthy Manning could be far better in the present. “We want this to be his decision,’’ Irsay told ESPN ...
