Emissions from the Monolith is an annual heavy metal festival that showcases mainly doom metal and sludge metal bands, considered to be the premiere heavy/doom/sludge metal festival in the country. The festival recently completed its ninth year, which was the first year the festival moved to Emo's in Austin, Texas.
