Abstract: Abstract A major problem in coding theory is the question of whether the class of cyclic codes is asymptotically good. In this correspondence-as a generalization of cyclic codes-the notion of transitive codes is introduced (see Definition 1.4 in Section I), and it is shown that the class of transitive codes is asymptotically good. Abstract: We describe two sets of musical applications of the breve simulation system. The first adds musical events and interactions to a system of evolving, goal-directed swarms. The second extends 3d cellular automata to respond to musical input and to generate musical output.

Abstract: We report how breve, a simulation environment with rich 3d graphics, was used to discover significant patterns in the dynamics of a system that evolves controllers for swarms of goal-directed agents. These patterns were discovered via visualization in the sense that we had not considered their relevance or thought to look for them initially, but they became obvious upon visually observing the behavior of the system.
