The centre-right (or center-right), also known as right of center, is a political term commonly used to describe or denote individuals, political parties, or organizations (such as think tanks) whose views stretch from the centre to the right on the left-right spectrum, excluding far right stances. Centre-right can also describe a coalition of centrist and right-of-centre parties.
Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the instantaneous effects of visual feedback on undisturbed stance control mechanisms. DESIGN: The controlling variable, the centre of pressure trajectories, recorded using a force platform, were decomposed into two elementary motions: (1) the horizontal displacements of the centre of gravity and (2) the vertical projection of the difference between centre of pressure and the centre of gravity. These motions were processed through frequential analysis and modelled as fractional Brownian motion. BACKGROUND: Even though visual feedback protocols are advantageously used for...

Abstract: Copyright c?2005 CR-ISCI 2 The routing problem for shared path protection in multi-domain optical mesh networks is difficult due to the lack of complete and global knowledge on the network topology and bandwidth allocation. To overcome this difficulty, we propose an aggregated network modeling by overestimation with a two-step routing strategy. In the first step, a rough routing solution is sketched in a compact network which is the topology aggregation of the multi-domain network. A complete routing is then determined by solving routing problems within the original single-domain networks. Eac...
Abstract: Abstract The Digital VCE is an R&D consortium of leading companies and universities working in fields of broadcasting and multimedia, a company limited by guarantee: registered as Virtual Centre of Excellence in Digital Broadcasting and Multimedia Technology Ltd., sponsored and supported by the UK Department of Trade and Industry. In 1995, the Technology Foresight Panel Report on Communications argued that the UK's research effort in certain key fields was unduly dispersed. The Report recommended that at least two Virtual Centres of Excellence be set up with government support, one in "mobile...

Abstract: An experimental information and resource centre on handicap in children for the use of staff in the health, social and educational services was set up in an area of London serving four adjacent boroughs. As a first step, a questionnaire was widely distributed to potential users of the centre asking for information about their work, training and recent reading in this subject. Of 192 replies, those from health visitors, medical officiers, teachers and therapists are analysed. Lack of adequate training, both at basic and post-qualification level, as well as a failure to keep up to date with spec...
Abstract: Clinical research is one of the main activities in cancer centres and is submitted in France to a specific law (named "loi Huriet") which includes good clinical practices. We are now conducting a general program of quality evaluation and improvement in the regional cancer centre of Lyon (centre Léon-Bérard). Part of this program is an audit of the application of the Huriet law. Since no instrument exist for measuring this application, we have created a specific one, that attribute notation according to the different aspects of the law. Results show a good level of conformity but sometime non...
Abstract: This paper considers several permutation tests for treatment-by-centre interaction in multi-centre clinical trials in which the endpoint is survival time subject to censoring. Some of the tests are based on existing tests and some are new. To evaluate and compare the tests with respect to power under different conditions, we generated survival times and censoring times through simulation. We used special methodology to handle the unusual problems that arise in power simulations when the tests under study are permutation tests. Different conditions yielded different interaction tests as the bes...
Abstract: In this paper we investigate updates of knowledge bases represented by logic programs. In order to represent negative information, we use generalized logic programs which allow default negation not only in rule bodies but also in their heads. We start by introducing the notion of an update P U of a logic program P by another logic program U. Subsequently,we provide a precise semantic characterization of P U, and study some basic properties of program updates. In particular, we show that our update programs generalize the notion of interpretation update. We then extend this notion to composition...

Abstract: Abstract Everyday awareness on interference and quality is building up in the minds of the scientific/technical community. What is interference, how is it? Everything is being watched by the people on TVs, radios, now quality is realised by every one. Therefore utilisation factor is tending towards quality. Quality comes with strict vision at every stage of production. The design stage and qualification stage decides the future of the designer and its product. In this paper the author, brought out quality of workflow and EMC measures to be taken at each stage of production.
