Ocaña, a town and municipality of central Spain, in the province of Toledo; on the extreme north of the tableland known as the Mesa de Ocaña, with a station on the railway from Aranjuez to Cuenca. Pop. (1900) 6616. The town is surrounded by ruined walls which contain the remains of an old castle. Ocaña is the Vicus Cuminarius of the Romans and was the dowry that El Motamid of Seville gave his daughter Zaida on her marriage with Alphonso VI of Castile (1072-1109). Ocaña District is one of twenty-one districts of the province Lucanas in Peru.

Ocaña is a town and municipality in the Colombian Department of Norte de Santander. Ocaña is the second largest populated center of this department. It played an important role during the Independence of Colombia from the Spanish monarchy. The city was founded by Francisco Fernández de Contreras. In 1576 the city was moved to its present location. On April 9, 1828 the National Convention met to discuss the politic and administrative organization of the Republic. The average temperature is 22°C.

Abstract: Abstract In this letter, we investigate the optical properties of packed monodisperse silica submicron spheres by means of optical transmission measurements. The results are compatible with a three dimensional face centered cubic order in these solid structures. The lattice parameter of these structures, and therefore their optical properties, can be easily tuned through the sphere size (between 200 and 700 nm) thus covering the whole visible and near infrared spectrum. © 1997 American Institute of Physics.

Abstract: Abstract In this paper we present the low level navigation system carried out in a partially observable Markov decision process (POMDP) based on WiFi and ultrasound observations. We use an H-shape model for the corridor, obtained from ultrasound range sensor. This system leads the robot to follow a corridor while it's detecting transitions for each door in autonomous mode. We demonstrate that this system is useful as low level navigator in a POMDP for indoor environments with a real robot. Some experimental results are shown. Finally, the conclusions and future works are presented.

Abstract: Abstract This paper presents a robot navigation system for indoor environments using a partially observable Markov decision process (POMDP) based on WiFi signal strength and ultrasound observations. The paper represents the first one in using WiFi sensor readings as an observation in a POMDP. We present an algorithm based on an EM-SLAM that we called WSLAM (Wifi simultaneous localization and mapping) that is able to learn the observation and transition matrix in autonomous mode.
