Landscape architecture is a the design of outdoor and public spaces to achieve socio-behavioural, environmental, and/or aesthetic outcomes. It involves the systematic investigation of existing social, ecological, and geological conditions and processes in the landscape, and the careful design of interventions that will interact with these conditions and processes to produce the desired outcome. The scope of the profession includes urban design, site planning, town or urban planning, environmental restoration, parks and recreation planning; green infrastructure planning and provision, all at varying scales of design, planning and management. In North America and Europe, landscape architecture is a regulated profession. , A practitioner in the profession of landscape architecture is called a landscape architect. Through the 19th century, urban planning became more important, and it was the combination of modern planning with the tradition of landscape gardening that gave Landscape Architecture its unique focus. In the second half of the century, Frederick Law Olmsted completed a series of parks which continue to have a huge influence on the practices of Landscape Architecture today. Among these were Central Park in New York, Prospect Park in Brooklyn, and Boston's so called Emerald Necklace park system. Landscape architecture continues to develop as a design discipline, and has responded to many of the movements of design and architecture through the 20th century. Today, a healthy level of innovation continues to provide challenging design solutions for streetscapes, parks and gardens. The work of Martha Schwartz in the US,and in Europe designs such as Schouwburgplein in Rotterdam by the Dutch design group (West 8) are just two examples. Archi & Meidy is an Indonesian Science comic book and also Indonesia Best Seller Comic, published by Megindo. Written by one of Indonesia's most famous scientist, Yohanes Surya and Wendy Vega.
Archi-writing is a term used by Derrida in his attempt to re-orientate the relationship between speech and writing. As far back as Plato, speech had been always given priority over writing.
The Archins (аршишттиб in Archi, арчинцы in Russian) are an ethnic group who live mostly in Dagestan, Russia. Their total population is about 1,200.
Archi was an Old Testament city on the boundary of Ephraim and Benjamin (), between Bethel and Beth-horon the nether.
The Archi District is situated in the northwestern part of Kunduz Province in Afghanistan. It borders with Khan Abad and Kunduz districts to the South-West, Imam Sahib District to the North-West, Tajikistan to the Nort and Takhar Province to the East.
Abstract: Abstract Presents a 3-DOF redundant parallel mechanism, ARCHI, designed as a sub-part of a 5-axis hybrid machine. The redundant parallel mechanism design and its models are recalled; different ways for its control and first motion results are presented, proving the ability of ARCHI to offer an unlimited rotation capability

Abstract: This pattern language is a first crack at capturing the key concepts and processes of defining an architecture for a computer system. It captures the experiences of the author based on well over ten years of building complex software systems in a variety of domains including fault-tolerant systems, telecommunications, real-time databases and distributed object computing. In the spirit of the patterns movement, the patterns described here should be ?old hat ? to practicing software architects. They capture the kinds of decisions and thought processes that most architects have (in whole or in pa...
Abstract: NOS-positive local circuit neurons are exclusively axo-dendritic cells both in the neo- and archi-cortex of the rat brain. Seress L, Abrah?m H, Hajnal A, Lin H, Totterdell S. Central Electron Microscopic Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, University of P?cs, 7643 P?cs, Hungary. Neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS)-containing neurons and axon terminals were examined in the rat somatosensory and temporal neocortex, in the CA3/a-c areas of Ammon's horn and in the hippocampal dentate gyrus. In these areas, only nonpyramidal neurons were labeled with the antibody against nNOS. Previous observatio...
Abstract: This paper develops and applies two concepts which are fundamental to landscape ecology. These concepts concern biocybernetics, which is the theory of regulation of biological and ecological systems, and ther- modynamics, especially the flux of energy and the production of entropy. The landscape state factors, in- cluding site conditions and fluxes of energy, materials, and organisms, are shaped by the biocybernetic and thermodynamic processes. This theory provides us a way of understanding and discussing complex human interactions with landscape systems, expressing our concept of the whole la...
Abstract: this report, I shall refer to the mandatory skeleton of a routine/function, this is the Fortran code that must appear in the routine/function.
Abstract: Landscape ecologists often deal with aggregated data and multiscaled spatial phenomena. Recognizing the sensitivity of the results of spatial analyses to the definition of units for which data are collected is critical to characterizinglandscapes with minimal bias and avoidance of spurious relationships. We introduce and exam- ine the effect of data aggregation on analysis of landscape structure as exemplified through what has become known, in the statistical and geographical literature, as the Modifiable Areal Unit Problem (MAUP). The MAUP applies to two separate, but interrelated, problems wi...
Abstract: [Interaction between acoustic environment and landscape--the effect of acoustic environment on perceived landscape and the effect of landscape on perceived acoustic environment] [Article in Japanese] Iwamiya S, Hosono H, Fukuda K. Department of Acoustic Design, Kyushu Institute of Design. The effect of acoustic environment on the impression of the landscape and the effect of the landscape on the impression of the acoustic environment were investigated by a multivariate technique using a semantic differential method. The resulting five dimensions were interpreted as "Calmness", "Activit...
