  • Abstract:Abstract? In this paper two models using a functional network were employed to solving classification problem. Functional networks are generalized neural networks, which permit the specification of their initial topology using knowledge about the problem at hand. In this case, and after analyzing the available data and their relations, we systematically discuss a numerical analysis method used for functional network, and apply two functional network models to solving XOR problem. The XOR problem that cannot be solved with two-layered neural network can be solved by two-layered functional network, which reveals a potent computational power of functional networks, and the performance of the proposed model was validated using classification problems. Keywords?Functional network, neural network, XOR problem, classification, numerical analysis method.

  • Abstract MEMS (micro electromechanical systems) have been developed based on silicon bulk micromachining. Fine diameter fiber optic sensors for pressure and NSOM (near field scanning optical microscope) sensor applications were developed. The hydrogen storage capacity of a c...

  • quantum expiration. The rain function reflects the rule that thread group A computes for the entire quantum unless it is stopped at the barrier. The initial conditions are: t,0 = 1.0, because A is assumed to go first, and it hits the first barrier during its quantum; and tB, = Q, because group B passes through the barrier (now completed) which A stopped at and then runs to the end of the quantum. This model can be recast as the recurrence relation: t, = min(kt_J + 1, + e2), where t = max(t,,tB,), with initial conditions to = 1.0, t = Q. This re...

  • Although many studies have been performed to determine the overall parallelism of various applications, little is known about how parallelism changes dynamically during program execution. In this paper, we present a methodology for measuring the dynamic parallelism of a general purpose workstation workload, as represented by a subset of the SPEC95 benchmark suite. We measure the range of parallelism encountered, the rate of major parallelism changes, and the regularity of these changes using a detailed model of an aggressive out-of-order specul...
