Abstract: Abstract The increasing importance of meta-heuristics, demands solutions to their main drawback, the CPU time required. Initial placement is done by constructive placement algorithms such as Random and Quadratic placement. This article presents a new algorithm for constructive placement, with a CPU time comparable to random placement but with improvement of 39,5% in Wire Length and a 48,8% improvement in wire congestion to the random technique.
