Abstract: Abstract In 1970, the governor of Wisconsin appointed an Ad Hoc Committee to study the "impact of The SANGUINE low frequency antenna grid on the ecology, environment, transportation, communication and public safety of Wisconsin." Some of the technical questions of concern to the committee have involved preducting the quasi-static near fields and properly simulating these fields in the laboratory for environmental and ecological research. Several evaluations of the Navy's environmental impact reports have been released by the committee. An overview of the recent activities of the committee and its associated technical advisory panel is presented.
