    • Abstract:  Abstract A thermal life model based on the aging compensation effect (ACE) is presented and discussed. The model is derived by the conventional approach to reaction rate theory and the Arrhenius equation, once the linear relationship between life-line parameters (a consequence of ACE) is considered. The result is a thermal endurance equation with a life-line slope that depends on the selected end point and material property. The agreement of the life model with experimental data, recently obtained for different insulating materials and properties, is verified and its performance is discussed. An attempt to derive relationships between the compensation effect, defined for reaction rates, and the ACE is carried out
