    • Abstract:  KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- Expedition 4 crew member Carl E. Walz is ready to take his turn driving an M-113 armored personnel carrier. He and other crew members are taking part in Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test activities, which include emergency exit from the launch pad and a simulated launch countdown. Walz will be transported to the International Space Station on mission STS-108, targeted for launch Nov. 29 on Space Shuttle Endeavour. The Expedition 4 crew will spend more than five months living and working on the permanently manned Station and return on mission STS-111 in May 2002.
