  • Abstract:   -THE ANCIENT INDIAN WISDOM AS CONTAINED IN THE BHAGAVAD GITA IS ELUCIDATED IN THE LIGHT OF METAPHYSICAL AND SCIENTIFIC LOGIC. GITA IS THE EPITOME OF THE UPANISHADIC KNOWLEDGE AND ITS PHILOSOPHY. UPANISADS REPRESENT THE HIGHEST OF THE METAPHYSICS AS CONTAINED IN THE INDIAN RELIGIOUS AND PHILOSOPHICAL TEXTS OF VEDAS AND EPICS. THOUGH MANY AN ACCOUNT HAS BEEN WRITTEN BASED ON BHAGAVAD GITA,A PHILOSOPHICAL AND SCIENTIFIC TREATMENT BASED ON WESTERN AND EASTERN THOUGHT AND METAPHYSICAL STRANDS IS LACKING.ALSO A PRACTICAL UNIVERSAL RELIGIOUS AND PHILOSOPHICAL PLATORM IS PROVIDED THROUGH THE GITA AS EXPLAINED.
