    • Abstract:  To finish the last semester of our study Computer Science at the college of polytechnics in Enschede, we had to write a report. This report should contain a research in relation to the computer environment. We had the opportunity to write a status-report for the UT-SNMP Project Group, in which we had to research the security aspects in their network management software. In this way we fulfilled the study requirement and also learn more about network management and security. We like to thank the UT-SNMP Project for the opportunity to write this report. Using the information resources and help, we could complete this report. We especially like to thank Eric van Hengstum for counselling and for his support.
