    • Abstract:  Abstract This paper reviews the moving frame approach to the construction of the invariant variational bicomplex. Applications include explicit formulae for the Euler-Lagrange equations of an invariant variational problem, and for the equations governing the evolution of differential invariants under invariant submanifold flows.

          • Guest Post: Social Fractals And The Corruption of America
Submitted by Charles Hugh Smith from Of Two Minds Social Fractals And The Corruption of America Social fractals and social control myths help explain the complete corruption of America. Correspondent Kathy K. recently elucidated a powerful concept: social fractals. We typically think of fractals--structures that are scale-invariant--as features of Nature or finance. For example, a coastline has ...

“Using micro-video cameras attached to the heads of 2 dogs, we examined their optical behavior while catching Frisbees. Our findings reveal that dogs use the same viewer-based navigational heuristics previously found with baseball players (i.e., maintaining the target along a linear optical trajectory, LOT, with optical speed constancy). On trials in which the Frisbee dramatically changed ...
