About my Work:
Charles is the Founder and Managing Partner of Charles Anthony LLP. He is an accomplished multi-jurisdictional international litigation lawyer who has practiced on the international litigation circuit for over a decade. Charles founded Charles Anthony LLP in 2007, following a distinguished and highly rewarding legal career at the United Nations Organisation, where he had worked as a senior lawyer since January 1998.
During his tenure at the UN, Charles was involved in historic and ground-breaking legal work in what was soon to become, the fastest growing and emerging area of public international law, cumulating in his citation in the maiden edition of “Who is Who in Public International Law”.
In addition to managing and developing Charles Anthony’s business activities, Charles heads the firms’ foreign investment law and law in development practice groups and is a member of the firms’ dispute resolution, international and UN administrative law practice areas.
Commercially minded and results driven, following his legal career in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and within the United Nations Organisation for several years, Charles is able to offer our clients a rare and distinctive blend of domestic and international experience.
Having successfully managed several international trials over the past decade, he has gained an internationally acclaimed reputation for building and managing international litigation teams comprised of human resources from a diverse range of legal, ethnic and other backgrounds.
Following his decade long service within the UN organisation, Charles possesses extensive experience of resolving employment and other disputes within the UN and has acted as legal counsel to various UN staff members in hearings before appraisal-rebuttal panels, internal disciplinary panels, the United Nations Joint Appeals Board and the United Nations Appeals Tribunal.
He has also served in various administrative capacities within the Organisation, and was at various times the chairman and/or member of various ad-hoc panels established at the UN-ICTR to investigate alleged misconduct by various UN staff members.
